Captioned performances for deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people are similar to subtitled television. The captions are prepared in advance, then a STAGETEXT captioner cues them live so that the text runs at the same speed as the actors on stage.
Patrons are seated in an area so that the play and unit are in their complete field of vision.
- A synopsis of the production is mailed to all those attending a captioned or signed performance prior to attending.
