Xinyue Xing

Xinyue (Sammi) Xing is a theatre maker, director and sound designer based in London. She holds an MA in Theatre Directing from Royal Holloway, University of London and an MA in Theatre Practice from the University of Exeter. Her sound work includes The Final Exam: Gao Kao, When I Wake Up Again, The Silk Road (Kinda) and The Wall, alongside sound operation and technical work across theatre and live performance. She is currently a Sound Dep on Operation Mincemeat in the West End, and has previous sound department experience on The Devil Wears Prada and The Lion King. Her practice explores the relationship between sound, image and live performance, and she is particularly interested in developing sound as a dramaturgical tool within collaborative theatre-making.
