Grants from Trusts and Foundations support a wide range of projects at the Donmar and are vital in creating opportunities for everyone to enjoy a life enriched by culture.

Below are a few examples that demonstrate the breadth of work supported by Trusts and Foundations. Find out more about our current supporters here.

Donmar LOCAL Participation Work

Donmar LOCAL nurtures the next generation of audiences, artists, and creative professionals. We introduce young people to world-class theatre, amplify their voices, and expand their understanding of careers in the arts.

Long-term support from partners like John Lyon’s Charity and The Emmanuel Kaye Foundation enables us to deliver Donmar LOCAL for free, ensuring all students in Camden and Westminster have equal access to world-class cultural experiences, regardless of background or circumstance.

Developing New Productions

We seek to create consistently excellent work with integrity and rigour, building on the Donmar’s reputation as the most prestigious destination to experience unmissable, event theatre up close.

The Huo Family Foundation helps us to programme bold, artistically ambitious work and to collaborate with the most illustrious actors alongside future stars to create re-imagined classic plays, new works and intimate musicals that thrill and inspire.

Investing in Talent

CATALYST offers hands-on training experiences that empower brilliant emerging artists and creative industry professionals and accelerate career progression for talented individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds.

Thanks to support from The Idlewild Trust, CATALYST Trainees build advanced technical skills, learn from industry-leading mentors, and contribute to the creative development of Donmar productions.

We would love the chance to hear more about your interests and how we could work together
