Your generosity enables us to:

  • Encourage young people to become regular theatre goers through our 35-and-under ticket scheme
  • Provide extraordinary opportunities for local young people to have free high-quality engagements with theatre through Donmar LOCAL
  • Nurture the next generation of talent in the creative sector 

Since 2022, our supporters have enabled us to reach over 17,000 young people through Donmar LOCAL

  • 10,836students saw a Schools’ Tour performance
  • 5,050students attended a Donmar performance for free
  • 267students participated as theatre-makers in Take the Stage
  • 73students took part in our week-long work experience Pathways

On Stage

Our productions regularly achieve critical recognition for their innovation and artistic excellence. Recent examples include:

  • Max Webster’s critically acclaimed production of MACBETH which featured landmark performances from David Tennant and Cush Jumbo and an innovative binaural 3D soundscape. Premiering at the Donmar in 2023, MACBETH had 3 Olivier Award nominations including Best Revival. The production transferred to the Harold Pinter Theatre in 2024, and has been seen by over 220,000 in cinemas worldwide.
  • The Donmar’s iconic production of NEXT TO NORMAL premiered in 2023 earning 4 Olivier Award nominations including Best New Musical. It transferred to Wyndham’s Theatre and was seen by over 68,000 people in the West End in 2024. It was released on PBS, NT at Home, and in cinemas in 2025.
  • Tim Sheader’s first show as Artistic Director, NATASHA, PIERRE AND THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 was nominated for 6 Olivier Awards including Best Supporting Actress Winner Maimuna Memon and Best New Musical.
  • Lindsey Ferrentino’s new play THE FEAR OF 13 had its world premiere at the Donmar with direction by Justin Martin and a brilliant standout performance by two-time Academy Award winner Adrien Brody. THE FEAR OF 13 was nominated for Best New Play and Adrien Brody was nominated for Best Actor, at the 2025 Olivier Awards.
