Our LOCAL Schools performances are at the heart of our work with young people, opening up the Donmar to local schools and offering free access to our productions.
Each production includes dedicated performances for young audiences, with invitations extended to local schools and alumni from Donmar LOCAL programmes. Alongside the performances, students and teachers take part in activities that explore the themes and theatre-making process.
The Donmar offers students an unparalleled opportunity to see great theatre - you're always so close to the action
Each participating school receives:
- Two tickets to a preview performance for teachers - giving them the opportunity to experience the production and plan related workshop activity
- An in-school workshop for students before the performance, led by a Donmar theatre-maker
- Free tickets for up to 50 students to attend a Donmar production
- A post-show Q&A with the Resident Assistant Director and Company members, offering insight into the creative process and pathways into theatre
