Attending a performance
Do you have a bar?
We have bars on every floor of the theatre, serving a selection of wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks and snacks. Our bars are open pre- and post-show and we also have an accessible all-day café on the foyer level serving hot drinks. Ice creams are available to buy in the interval.
Do you have air conditioning?
The theatre is fully air-cooled via a state-of-the-art ventilation system, improving air circulation throughout the building
Do you have a cloakroom?
There is no cloakroom, please do not bring large bags or cases with you. Bags must be able to fit under your seat and be a maximum of 45 x 50 x 30cm or 18 x 20 x 12 inches in size.
For the safety of all visitors, bag checks are in operation at the theatre. If you decline the search, you cannot be admitted to the building. Any restricted items, including large cameras and recording equipment, will be held and returned to the visitor on departure. If our staff find anything they consider to be illegal, they will confiscate it and contact the police.
What age are your productions suitable for?
Most of our productions are suitable for ages 14+. Please check individual shows for content advice to decide on suitability. Children under the age of ten cannot be admitted into the auditorium.
Do you provide content guidance for production?
Yes, for every production there is information about things like the use of smoke or flashing lights. There is also optional content guidance about the themes of the production, which may contain spoilers.
What happens if I’m late?
It may be possible to admit latecomers at a certain appropriate point in the performance. Please note if you leave the auditorium during the performance you may have to wait to reenter, and may not be able to go back to your seat.
Can I use my phone or take photos during the performance?
Photography or recording is not allowed during performances; please switch off your phone. We also ask that if you have camera equipment with you that it remains switched off.
Do you sell programmes?
Yes, a programme is available to purchase at the theatre for each production giving background to the play and the cast and creative team.
