We're excited to announce the full cast for Benedict Andrew's (The Seagull, Three Sisters) adaptation of Anton Chekhov's THE CHERRY ORCHARD.

Joining previously announced Adeel Akhtar (Sherwood, Murdered by My Father) and Nina Hoss (Tár, Homeland) are Sarah Amankwah (Amadeus, National Theatre; Dungeons & Dragons), Nathan Armarkwei Laryea (The Witcher, A Strange Loop, Barbican), David Ganly (Moon Knight, Girl from the North Country, The Old Vic), Michael Gould (King Lear, Almeida; A View from the Bridge, Young Vic), Éanna Hardwicke (The Sixth Commandment, The Doll Factory), Daniel Monks (Teenage Dick, Donmar; The Seagull, Harold Pinter), Marli Siu (The Ocean at the End of the Lane, National Theatre; Alex Rider), Sadie Soverall (Saltburn, Fate: The Winx Saga), Posy Sterling (Dixon and Daughters, National Theatre; The Outrun) and June Watson (A Doll's House, Part 2, Donmar; Escaped Alone, Royal Court).

The creative team also includes Set Designer Magda Willi (A Streetcar Named Desire, Young Vic), Costume Designer Merle Hansel (King Lear, Almeida), Lighting Designer James Farncombe (Vanya, West End), Sound Designer Dan Balfour (Dear England, National Theatre), Voice Coach William Conacher, Assistant Director Neetu Singh and Casting Director Anna Cooper CDG.

Can anyone persuade Ranevskaya and her aristocratic household that the world is changing, and they must too?

Following internationally acclaimed productions of The Seagull (Belvoir St Theatre, Sydney) and Three Sisters (Young Vic, London), director Benedict Andrews has a reputation as one of the world’s leading interpreters of Chekhov. For the Donmar Warehouse he stages the great writer’s final play. It’s a work that predicted and captured the end of an era, but is timeless in its humanity, prescience, humour and pathos. The Cherry Orchard is Chekhov’s masterpiece.
